The collection is particularly strong in literature, women's history, native studies, travel and exploration, and the history of French Canada.

Canadian women's contribution to Canada's musical and literary heritage. Performers, composers, songwriters, authors, and poets. Biographies have also been included for a selection of lesser known women from across the country who through their strength, courage and determination have made significant contributions to the development of Canadian life and society. With a few exceptions, these "pioneers" were all born before 1900.

Canada at War: The Valour and the Horror This site is based on the television series of the same title. The series consisted of three two-hour films combining investigative journalism, drama and documentary to tell the story of three World War II campaigns.
