    Variety    This weekly American newspaper is the trade journal for the American entertainment industry. Includes the famous dictionary of Variety slang . A "boffo" site.

Broadway.com provides the latest theatre news from New York and London.

THE LONDON THEATRE GUIDE - ONLINE includes reviews maps, articles and other links .

The Society of London Theatre is the trade association which represents the producers, theatre owners and managers of the 50 major commercial and grant-aided theatres in central London. This site provides information about current productions .

    Tony Awards are Broadway theatre's equivalent to the Oscars. This site includes background on performers, plays, dramatists, and composerss. It also has information on past and present winners and nominees.  

   Toronto Theatre Alliance is the umbrella service organization representing Toronto's professional theatre and dance  companies. This site includes  Toronto show listings and theatre scene, dance and theatre companies, other links and resources. The Alliance also produces the Dora Awards which is the Canadian equivalent to the American Tony awards.

Orchestras Canada is the only non-profit national support organization for Canada's orchestras which range from the major symphony orchestras in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver to smaller professional and chamber orchestras, community, university and youth orchestras, and chamber ensembles in every province.

    The Juno awards are given to honour Canadian achievenment in the recorded music industry. This site includes the music archive, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and current award information.

     Northern Journey Online   provides resources and links concerning Canadian folk music. It includes CD reviews, concert and festivaldates, and background information about performers and the industry.
  
        Factor  (Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent on Records) Assists Canadian artists and composers in producing records and videos. Many links and resources to the industry.
                                                    
     Songwriters Association of Canada   open to any Canadian songwriter, from amateur hobbyist to professional hit-maker, in any style or genre of music.

FanFaire is a webzine devoted to classical music  Useful material on composers and performers.
  
   Classical Music Pages    is an excellent source history on classical music.  A good starting point.

     La Scena Musicale  An online version of this Canadian magazine of Classical music includes articles, columnists, and a searchable collection of links to over 2300 classical music web news articles . Sources for articles include: the New York Times, National Post and the Globe and Mail.

CMPI is an index of articles from Canadian music periodicals. CMPI is a free service provided by the National Library of Canada. Texts of articles are not available from this site, but can be obtained through interlibrary loan at your local library.

  Besides providing links to the national libraries, this site includes examples of treasures from the libraries. For example : rare maps and books, as well as sheet
music by famous composers.
